Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 19, 2026)
• Setting: 9 South Telemetry Unit (Med/Surg Telemetry)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) — night shift RN / travel nurse schedule
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 – $2,030
• Location: Des Moines, IA 50314 — Des Moines healthcare / Iowa nursing jobs

Job Requirements

• Active RN license
• Telemetry experience required (Med/Surg Telemetry / cardiac telemetry experience preferred)
• At least 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry RN experience
• Ability to work night shifts and holidays as needed
• Completion of all onboarding health and competency requirements (including drug screen, immunizations, and background check)

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to post-procedural patients, cath lab patients, and ER overflow — strong opportunity for clinical growth as a travel nurse and Med/Surg Tele RN
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data, responding promptly to changes in patient condition (cardiac telemetry monitoring)
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately and in a timely manner
• Educate patients and families on post-surgical care and recovery
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, adhering to hospital policies and procedures
