Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – 13-week contract in Fort Myers, FL (33912). Requires 2+ years perioperative/OR experience and robotic, ortho, and neuro surgical skills. Join a high-performing surgical team in a top Florida facility offering advanced robotics, ortho, neuro, oncology, bariatric, vascular, and trauma surgery.
Job Details – Travel Nursing / OR RN
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 - $1,990
- Location: Fort Myers, FL 33912 (Fort Myers nursing jobs / Florida travel nursing)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
- Shift: 10-hour day shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM), Wednesdays off
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Call Requirement: 1 shift per week after scheduled day (2–4 hours) and 1–2 weekend 12-hour shifts per month
- Travel Assignment: Floating required; may float to sister campuses (travel RN assignment)
- Scrubs Provided
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Operating Room RN or perioperative nursing experience
- Prior travel nursing experience required (travel OR nurse preferred)
- Robotic surgery and ortho/neuro surgical experience required; experience in oncology, bariatrics, vascular, or trauma a plus
- Active Florida RN license or multistate compact RN license at time of submission
- BLS required; ACLS and PALS preferred
- Degree accreditation must be on profile, or 5 years of relevant experience
- Epic EMR experience preferred (electronic charting experience)
- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (radius rule) for travel assignment
- All requested time off must be submitted with application
Responsibilities – Perioperative / Surgical Nurse
- Deliver high-quality perioperative patient care in the operating room across a variety of surgical specialties
- Assist and scrub for robotic, orthopedic, neuro, oncology, bariatric, vascular, and trauma procedures
- Participate in call rotations and provide coverage as scheduled
- Float to other units or sister campuses as needed as part of a travel nursing assignment
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic EMR or equivalent systems
- Adhere to facility policies and safety protocols while functioning as core staff during the assignment
- Foster a positive, team-focused culture within the perioperative unit
