Travel Infusion RN – Oncology in Boston, MA (02114): Join the Yawkey 8E Infusion Unit providing specialized hematology-oncology infusion care at a top academic medical center. As an Infusion Nurse (Oncology RN/Travel Nurse), you will deliver high-quality outpatient infusion therapy to oncology patients in a busy 60 bed/chair unit.

Job Details – Infusion RN / Travel Nursing Job

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
• Location: Boston, MA 02114 – Downtown Boston; excellent access to public transit, the Charles River, and city amenities
• Setting: Hematology-Oncology Infusion Unit (Yawkey 8E)
• Assignment: 13-week travel assignment (May 3, 2026 – August 1, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM)
• Hours per Week: 36 hours
• Employment Type: Travel Nurse (Infusion RN / Oncology RN)
• Schedule: Every other weekend and every other holiday required

Required Qualifications – Oncology Infusion Nurse

• 2+ years oncology infusion experience in an academic medical center or tertiary care setting
• 1+ year outpatient oncology infusion experience required
• 1+ year travel nurse experience required
• Strong IV therapy skills, venous access, and patient assessment
• Experience managing complex GI regimen infusions and oncology protocols
• ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification required
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Massachusetts

Key Responsibilities – Infusion Nurse / Oncology RN

• Administer chemotherapy, biologics, and supportive infusion therapies to oncology patients in a high-volume hematology-oncology infusion unit
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments, monitor for infusion reactions, and intervene per protocol
• Manage complex gastrointestinal (GI) regimen infusions and ensure accurate medication administration and documentation
• Collaborate with oncology physicians, pharmacists, and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate outpatient infusion care
• Maintain infection control, patient safety standards, and chemotherapy handling best practices
• Provide patient and family education on treatment plans, side-effect management, and post-infusion care
