Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay (Travel Nurse): $2,040 - $2,150
• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 — Rochester healthcare / Finger Lakes region
• Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center Operating Room
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 27, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
• Shift: 3x12 hour rotating shifts (days/evenings/nights), including on-call, callback, floating, holidays, and weekends as needed
• Positions Available: 6 Travel OR RN positions

Required Qualifications (Operating Room Nurse / Perioperative RN)

• Active RN license — New York State only (required)
• Minimum 2 years of operating room experience (perioperative/surgical nurse experience)
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma hospital preferred
• Proven ability to scrub and circulate (scrub nurse and circulating nurse experience)
• Telemetry experience
• BLS (American Heart Association) required
• ACLS preferred

Key Responsibilities (OR RN / Surgical Nurse)

• Provide perioperative care for a broad range of surgical patients: orthopedics, general surgery, plastics, urology, cardiac, neuro, vascular, ophthalmic, GYN, ENT, thoracic, oral-maxillofacial, and trauma cases
• Assist with complex specialty cases such as liver/kidney/heart transplants, craniotomies, and reconstructive surgeries
• Operate and support advanced surgical technology, including Da Vinci robotic systems
• Scrub and circulate during procedures, maintaining patient safety, sterile technique, and optimal outcomes
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in a fast-paced, high-acuity trauma center
• Float to other units and participate in on-call/callback rotations as required
• Adhere to hospital protocols and maintain compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
