• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 - $1,890
• Location: Memphis, TN (38104) — Tennessee nursing jobs / Memphis healthcare
• Setting: Short Term Acute Care – Level I Trauma Center
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: Night Shift, 12-hour shifts (19:00 - 07:00)
• Hours per Week: 36 (option for 48 hours)
• Unit: 6 NORTH – Med/Surg Telemetry with oncology overflow
• Patient Ratio: Team nursing; typically 1:12 split between 2 RNs, LPNs, Med Nurse

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent Med/Surg Tele RN experience (3+ years preferred)
• Prior travel nursing assignment completed (travel nurse experience preferred)
• Med Surg Oncology experience required (oncology nursing, chemo administration experience)
• Level I Trauma and large hospital experience required
• Active RN license in Tennessee or compact nurse license (NLC compliant)
• BLS and NIHSS certifications required
• Clinical skills: chemo administration (ONS nurses only), conscious sedation, IV starts, PCA pump use
• Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
• Travelers must reside at least 100 miles from the facility
• Cerner electronic charting experience preferred
• All requested time off must be submitted with application; pending licenses not accepted

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients on a 45-bed Med/Surg Tele unit with oncology overflow
• Monitor telemetry and manage complex medical-surgical patients, including post-op and trauma cases
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams: PT, RT, Radiology, Social Work, Pharmacy, Case Management
• Manage central lines (PICC, midlines, PAC), wound care, drains, ostomies, and Foley catheters
• Administer medications including chemo (ONS-certified staff only) and utilize PCA pumps
• Perform IV starts, conscious sedation support, and other unit-specific procedures
• Float between like units and campuses within 20 miles as needed; participate in team nursing
• Work weekends and on-call shifts as required and maintain compliance with facility and travel requirements
