RN Position Job Notes:

Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

Opportunity:

RN - Med Surg Tele

Job Details:

• Work on a hybrid PCU/Med Surg Telemetry unit with varying patient ratios (PCU 1:5, MS 1:7)
• Schedule options include 36/36, 36/48, or 48/48 schedules with rotating weekends and holidays
• No call requirements but floating to Med Surg units is required
• Must have minimum 2 years of experience and previous PCU experience within the past 2 years
• Accepts first-time travelers with Level 1 trauma experience
• Required certifications: AHA BLS, NIHSS, AHA ACLS
• 24-hour orientation with 16 hours of non-billable orientation beginning on Sundays
• Must live 100 miles from the facility
• Care for adult patients with daily census of 17 in 19-bed unit
• Participate in nursing student support and clinical education
• Work with Epic charting system and various medical equipment including telemetry monitoring
• Handle patient diagnoses in hybrid PCU/Med Surg environment
• 24/7 support available including phlebotomy, RRT, and supervisor support
• Flu vaccine required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Drug test must be completed within 12-14 calendar days prior to start
• Facial hair must be trimmed or removed for CDC fit testing guidelines
