Travel Nursing Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,570 – $1,650
• Location: Hickory, North Carolina (zip 28602) – travel nursing opportunity in Catawba County
• Setting: Level III/IV NICU (20 beds) – Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, neonatal nurse role
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
• Shift: Nights, 3x12-hour (19:00 – 07:00); option to flex to a 4th shift
• Hours per Week: 36
• Scheduling: Blocked schedule requests considered; minimum every other weekend coverage (Fri-Sat-Sun)
• Orientation: 16 hours

Qualifications – NICU RN / Neonatal Nurse

• Minimum 2 years recent NICU RN experience; Level III/IV NICU experience preferred
• Travel nursing experience required (travel NICU RN preferred)
• Active NC State RN license or Compact RN licensure (active or pending with ETA)
• Required certifications: BLS, NRP, STABLE
• Experience with Meditech EMR preferred
• COVID-19 vaccine required (medical/religious exemptions considered)

Key Responsibilities – Neonatal Intensive Care

• Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to neonates and infants in a Level III/IV NICU
• Manage ventilators and advanced respiratory support (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP)
• Maintain appropriate patient ratios (typically 1:4) during days, nights, and weekends
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Respiratory Therapy, Physical Therapy, Radiology, Social Services, Rapid Response, and Pharmacy
• Document patient care accurately using Meditech EMR and follow NICU protocols
• Participate in weekend coverage and blocked scheduling as needed
