- Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
- Weekend Rotation: Every other weekend
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010 (travel nurse pay)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent ICU / critical care nursing experience required
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact license acceptable where applicable)
- Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required; CCRN preferred
- Proficient in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring (telemetry nurse skills)
- Experience managing ventilators, trach and BiPAP, invasive lines, ostomy care, drains, chest tubes, and IV medication titration
- EPIC EMR experience required; Alaris IV pump and Pyxis experience preferred
- Ability to act as lead in ED holding as needed (ED holding / ED overflow experience a plus)

Responsibilities
- Float throughout Auburn (and possibly Covington) to provide care for ICU and PCU-level patients, primarily supporting ED overflow
- Provide comprehensive critical care nursing for patients with respiratory failure, ESRD/AKI, COPD, GI bleeds, DKA, sepsis, post-op care, CVA/stroke, alcohol-related conditions, and overdose
- Perform cardiac rhythm interpretation, continuous telemetry monitoring, and ventilator management (vent/trach/BiPAP care)
- Manage invasive lines, ostomies, drains, chest tubes, and titrate IV medications per protocol
- Serve as lead nurse in ED holding when required, coordinating patient flow and interdisciplinary care
- Document all patient care accurately and timely using EPIC EMR (electronic medical record)
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient outcomes
- Adhere to hospital policies, safety protocols, and best practices for infection control and patient safety
