Job Details – Travel Nursing Opportunity

• Job Title: Travel Med/Surg Registered Nurse (RN) – Night Shift
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
• Location: Fort Wayne, IN 46845 (Indiana travel nurse opportunity)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7pm–7am); schedule includes 3 weekend shifts in every 4-week period
• Hours per Week: 36
• Employment Type: Travel nurse / contract
• Dress Code: Caribbean Blue scrubs

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• At least 1.5 years of Level 1, Level 2, or tertiary Med/Surg experience (medical-surgical nurse)
• Minimum 1 year of Med/Surg experience at a large hospital (600+ beds)
• Active Indiana RN license or compact RN license (Registered Nurse)
• BLS certification (AHA required)
• Experience with Epic charting / EHR preferred (Epic experience valued for this clinical role)

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality medical-surgical nursing care to a diverse patient population as a Med/Surg RN
• Perform assessments, develop nursing care plans, and maintain clear inter-professional communication
• Use EHR (Epic), IV pumps, wound vacs, feeding pumps/tubes, chest tubes, and telemetry monitoring
• Manage heparin and insulin drips, IV therapy, and SCDs for VTE prevention
• Care for patients with chronic illnesses, GI issues, infections, neurological and mental health conditions
• Assist with procedures such as colonoscopies, bronchoscopy, minor surgeries, and biopsies
• Float to other medical units as needed (typical patient ratios 1:5–1:6)
• Complete Jump Start orientation, including hospital and nursing orientation plus Epic training
