Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (L&D RN) – Fort Myers, FL | 13-week travel nursing contract | $1,890–$1,990/week. Seeking experienced L&D travel nurses with 2+ years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience and current NRP, ACLS, and BLS certifications.

Job Details
- Position: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse (Travel), L&D RN, OB RN
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 – $1,990 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Location: Fort Myers, FL 33908 (Fort Myers travel nursing, Florida nursing jobs)
- Setting: 19-bed Labor & Delivery Unit (high-acuity L&D unit, perinatal care)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 15, 2026 – August 15, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week (36 guaranteed hours/week)
- Employment Type: Travel, On-site (travel nurse assignment)
Qualifications & Job Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (L&D, OB, perinatal nursing)
- Prior travel nursing experience required
- Active RN license (state of Florida or multistate compact as applicable)
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, and NRP required
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring class completed and passed required
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring class and EFM certification preferred
- Ability to manage high-acuity maternal and neonatal patients in a fast-paced environment
- Epic EMR experience preferred (electronic medical record documentation)
- Degree accreditation must be on profile or 5 years of clinical experience required
- Willingness to float to sister campuses as needed (flexible for Fort Myers area facilities)
- Call required: 12 hours in a 6-week scheduling period
- Uniform: Scrub color Galaxy Blue and/or White
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, evidence-based Labor & Delivery nursing care to laboring patients and support perinatal outcomes
- Monitor fetal and maternal status using fetal monitoring and respond to obstetric emergencies
- Assist with deliveries, support vaginal and operative births, and collaborate in emergent situations
- Document clinical care accurately and timely using Epic EMR (electronic charting)
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesia, neonatal teams, and multidisciplinary staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to other units or sister campuses as required and participate in scheduled call rotation
- Contribute to a positive unit culture and function as core staff while on assignment
