Job Requirements (ER RN / Travel RN)

• Active RN license in Connecticut or a valid multistate/compact nursing license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) or ER RN experience
• Current BLS and ACLS required; PALS or ENPC required
• TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) certification required
• Level 1 trauma experience preferred
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts and every other weekend; adaptability to fast-paced ED workflow

Primary Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate patient care as an Emergency Department nurse (ER RN)
• Assess, triage, and manage acute, emergent, and critical patients in a Level 1 trauma setting
• Participate in trauma activations and coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Administer medications, treatments, and emergency interventions per hospital protocols
• Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient status in the electronic medical record
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and infection control procedures

Preferred Skills & Clinical Competencies

• Strong triage, critical thinking, and trauma assessment skills
• Experience with high-acuity ED equipment and procedures
• Effective communication and teamwork within multidisciplinary emergency care teams
• Ability to stay calm and decisive during trauma activations and high-volume periods
