This 13-week travel nursing assignment places you in a Level 3 Trauma Center where you'll deliver critical care in a supportive, small-town community near Carlsbad Caverns National Park. - Location: Carlsbad, New Mexico (88220) — travel nursing opportunity
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 12-hour nights (6:30pm – 7:00am)
- Hours per Week: 36

- Scrub Color: Any color (full uniform required)

Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of recent Emergency Department (ED) / ER RN experience required
- Active RN license required
- Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, TNCC, NIHSS, and ENPC
- NRP certification preferred
- Ability to float to other units as needed (flexible travel RN expectations)
- Call requirement: Must be available 2 hours prior to shift start
- Fingerprinting required for all New Mexico travelers (agency must be registered with NM)
Responsibilities — Emergency Department (ED) / ER Nursing
- Provide high-quality emergency care to patients using the Nursing Process and ED best practices
- Demonstrate critical thinking, clinical judgment, and leadership in patient care planning and triage
- Maintain and advance clinical competencies through continuing education and ED training
- Delegate patient care tasks based on staff education and experience and supervise assigned personnel
- Perform thorough assessments, triage, and ongoing monitoring; communicate findings clearly to the care team
- Administer medications, monitor for side effects, and document interventions accurately in MedHost (EDIS)
- Adhere to safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives in the trauma/ED setting
- Participate in floating and on-call coverage as required for this travel nurse role
