Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1800 - $1890
• Location: Hickory, NC 28601 (Hickory, North Carolina travel nursing / North Carolina telemetry jobs)
• Setting: Telemetry Unit (24 beds) – Cardiac telemetry nurse role
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour Nights (19:00–07:00) – Night Shift RN
• Hours per Week: 36 (guaranteed)
• Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
• Dress Code: Any color scrubs

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent Telemetry RN experience (cardiac telemetry preferred)
• Associate's degree in Nursing (minimum) or equivalent nursing education
• Active RN license (compact license accepted per facility policy)
• Current BLS & ACLS certifications required
• Hands-on experience with LifePak, Zoll, and Masimo monitoring equipment
• Cerner EHR experience required (electronic health record experience is a must-have)
• Ability to provide pre- and post-procedure care for cardiac caths (groin & radial) and manage common cardiac diagnoses: Chest Pain, A-fib, CHF, VATS

Responsibilities / Telemetry Nurse Duties

• Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and clinical care for a diverse adult patient population (young adults to elderly)
• Maintain an expected patient ratio of approximately 4:1 in the telemetry unit
• Utilize monitoring and resuscitation equipment (LifePak, Zoll, Masimo) and document care in Cerner EHR
• Deliver compassionate, high-quality care in a fast-paced telemetry and cardiac telemetry unit
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes
• May occasionally float to IMCU, NPCU, or Surgical units as needed—flexibility and cross-coverage experience valued
