Travel Nurse Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,890 – $1,990
- Location: Fort Myers, FL 33908 (Lee County) — Fort Myers nursing jobs, Florida travel nursing)
- Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit (19 beds) — high-acuity L&D, perinatal and maternal-fetal care
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 22, 2026 – August 22, 2026)
- Shift: 12-hour days, 3 shifts per week
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Call Requirement: 12 hours in a 6-week scheduling period
- EMR: Epic
- Scrub Color: Galaxy Blue and/or White
Job Requirements (Labor & Delivery RN / Travel RN)
- Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (L&D, OB RN, perinatal nursing)
- Prior travel nursing experience required (travel RN / travel nurse)
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license — Florida RN or multi-state compact RN preferred
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NRP certifications required
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring class completed and passed
- AWHONN Advanced Fetal Monitoring class and EFM certification preferred
- Demonstrated ability to care for high-acuity maternal and neonatal patients
- Degree accreditation must be on profile or 5 years of experience required
- Willingness to float to sister campuses as needed
- All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted at application
Responsibilities (L&D RN / Labor & Delivery Nursing)
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring patients and newborns in a fast-paced, high-acuity Labor & Delivery environment
- Monitor maternal and fetal status using advanced fetal monitoring techniques (AWHONN standards, EFM)
- Collaborate with obstetrics, anesthesia, neonatology, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Participate in call rotation as scheduled; provide perinatal support during high-acuity events
- Float to other units or sister campuses as required
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation using Epic EMR
- Uphold unit culture by functioning as core staff and integrating seamlessly into the L&D team
