Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) travel opportunity in Cleveland, OH (44195). Seeking an experienced Cardiac/Telemetry RN with active Ohio or Compact RN licensure and current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS to join a leading hospital’s cardiac stepdown team. Ideal for travel nurses and cardiac stepdown RNs looking for a 13-week contract in Cleveland, Ohio.

Job Details – Travel Nursing Job

• Location: Cleveland, OH 44195 (Cleveland nursing jobs, Ohio travel nurse)
• Position: Cardiac Stepdown Registered Nurse (RN) / Telemetry Nurse – Travel Contract
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: April 27, 2026
• Weekly Hours: 36 hours per week
• Shift: Rotating 12-hour shifts (Day: 7:00am – 7:30pm / Night: 7:00pm – 7:30am); 3 shifts per week
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,130 – $2,250 (competitive pay for travel nurses)
• Setting: Cardiac Stepdown Unit / Telemetry (may float to similar units as needed)

Qualifications – Cardiac Stepdown RN Requirements

• Minimum 18 months recent, permanent Cardiac Stepdown, Stepdown, or telemetry experience required
• Active Ohio RN license or Compact State RN license in hand at time of submission
• Current AHA or American Red Cross BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications (must be active)
• One supervisory reference (manager, ANM, supervisor, or director) in the specialty required
• Must pass ECG rhythm recognition test and safeMedicate assessment during orientation
• COVID-19 and Flu vaccines required (medical/religious exemptions considered)
• Ability to work at least every other holiday during contract

Responsibilities – Cardiac/Telemetry Nurse Duties

• Provide high-quality nursing care to cardiac stepdown and telemetry patients, including continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation
• Assess, monitor, and document patient status; respond to changes in condition and escalate per protocol
• Administer medications, manage IV therapy, and perform venipuncture and other common bedside procedures
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, case management, pharmacy, PT/OT) to develop individualized care plans
• Float to other stepdown or similar units (J1-2, J33, ED) as needed to support hospital operations
• Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care plans
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, regulatory standards, and documentation requirements
