Job Details — York, Maine (Travel Nurse)

  • Location: York, Maine (03909) — coastal living and Maine healthcare opportunities
  • Assignment Length: 13 weeks (travel assignment)
  • Start Date: May 4, 2026
  • End Date: August 3, 2026
  • Weekly Hours: 36 hours (3 x 12-hour shifts per week)
  • Shift: Night shift, 7:00 pm – 7:30 am (occasional variable shift: 1:00 pm – 1:30 am based on ED census)
  • Guaranteed Hours: 36 per week
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,910 – $2,010
  • No On-Call Required

Job Requirements — Emergency Room RN Qualifications

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Maine
  • BLS and ACLS certifications required; PALS preferred
  • At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department / ER nursing experience
  • Previous charge nurse and preceptor experience required
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills for emergency nursing

Responsibilities — ER Registered Nurse Duties

  • Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients in the Emergency Department
  • Function as charge nurse as needed and mentor new staff as a preceptor
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to emergencies and changing patient conditions
  • Perform triage, assessments, interventions, and monitor critical patients per ED protocols
  • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care
  • Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient emergency department work environment
