Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120 - $2,230 (competitive Travel RN pay)
• Location: Charlestown, MA 02129 – Boston area pediatric nursing job
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (April 26, 2026 – July 25, 2026)
• Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Rotating nights and days (7:00pm-7:30am, 11:00pm-7:30am, 7:00am-3:30pm, 7:00am-7:30pm); every other weekend required
• Setting: Pediatric Acute Rehabilitation Unit (12 beds) – pediatric rehabilitation nursing role
• Employment Type: Travel (Travel RN / Travel nursing assignment)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of inpatient pediatric hospital experience (preferred Pediatric RN experience)
• Active RN license (Massachusetts)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including nights and weekends
• Strong communication, teamwork, and family-centered care skills

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute rehabilitation setting (Pediatric RN duties)
• Perform pediatric assessments, monitor patient progress, and document care accurately in the EMR
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies per physician orders and rehabilitation protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physiatrists, therapists, social work, and case management) for coordinated care and discharge planning
• Educate and support patients and families throughout the rehabilitation and recovery process
• Maintain patient safety standards, participate in quality improvement efforts, and follow infection control policies
• Participate in unit rotations and flexible scheduling as needed, including night and day shifts
