- Schedule: Three days per week; every other weekend and every other holiday required
- Duration: 13 weeks (with potential for extension)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,700 – $2,840

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) with supervisory or leadership experience to serve as an Administrative Clinical Supervisor overseeing L&D, Mother Baby, and NICU units. Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State, or eligibility to obtain New York RN licensure
- BLS certification (AHA or American Red Cross; may be obtained prior to start date)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a nursing supervisor, charge nurse, or leadership role
- Prior clinical experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D), Mother Baby, or NICU preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills; proven ability in staff management and clinical decision-making
- Ability to float to units within competency and provide clinical support during high-acuity events
Primary Responsibilities
- Provide clinical leadership and supervision for L&D, Mother Baby, and NICU units during the night shift
- Complete and distribute Nursing Supervisor shift reports via email; ensure accurate handoffs for incoming shifts
- Conduct department rounds at least every 2 hours to monitor patient safety and unit operations
- Assess and manage staffing assignments; address real-time staffing issues and coordinate resources for upcoming shifts
- Participate in bed meetings at 8:00 PM and 5:00 AM to optimize patient flow and unit capacity
- Perform AED checks once per 24 hours (night shift) and check PACU defibrillator on weeknights and weekends
- Handle sick calls, update call sheets, and call in staff for C-sections when needed
- Investigate and document protest forms and incident reports with appropriate follow-up
- Facilitate nursing communication and provide frontline support during codes, emergent events, and post-event debriefs
- Ensure compliance with facility policies, procedures, and patient safety standards across perinatal and neonatal care areas
