Job Details
- Position: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Circulating Nurse
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 - $2,100
- Location: Tucson, AZ 85741 (Tucson nursing jobs, Arizona travel nursing)
- Contract Length: 13 weeks
- Shift: 10 Hour Days (06:30 AM – 5:00 PM) with On Call responsibilities
- Hours per Week: 40
- Start Date: April 27, 2026
- Scrub Color: Provided
- Electronic Medical Record: Cerner (EMR experience preferred)
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Arizona
- BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
- Minimum 1 year of recent circulating experience in the Operating Room
- Extensive neurosurgery / neuro OR experience required (Neuro OR nurse)
- Experience with robotics/robotic-assisted surgery, general surgery, GYN, and urology preferred
- Cerner EMR experience preferred; strong perioperative documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Circulate in the Operating Room for neurosurgery and other surgical procedures as a Travel OR RN
- Serve as a patient advocate and collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain strict adherence to sterile technique, infection control, and patient safety protocols
- Prepare the OR for procedures, including equipment, instrumentation, and supplies (robotics setup experience a plus)
- Monitor patient status, anticipate intraoperative needs, and respond to changes during surgery
- Perform accurate perioperative documentation in Cerner and participate in on-call rotation as required
