Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Pennsylvania
• Minimum 2 years of clinical RN experience required — med/surg nursing experience preferred
• Experience in Med-Surg Ortho and Med-Surg Adult units preferred
• Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA)
• EPIC electronic patient charting experience preferred
• Strong verbal, written, and non-verbal communication skills for patient care and team collaboration
• Ability to function effectively as a team member and liaison between patients, families, and staff
• Demonstrates tact, sensitivity, sound judgment, professionalism, and high emotional tolerance

Key Responsibilities

• Provide professional med-surg nursing care using the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care
• Deliver safe, patient-centered care to adult and orthopedic med-surg patients
• Act as a liaison between patients, families, and interdisciplinary staff to support care coordination
• Support clear communication and teamwork within the unit to maintain high-quality clinical outcomes
• Maintain professional attitude, sensitivity, and sound judgment in all patient and co-worker interactions
• Report to the Unit Director/Manager during assigned shifts; in their absence, report to Clinical Supervisor, Charge Nurse, or Clinical Coordinator
