• Shift: 12-hour nights (19:00-07:00) — night shift pediatric RN
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
• Weekend Requirement: 3 weekends every 6 weeks
• Unit: Neuro / Ortho / Pediatrics (24 beds; patient ratio ~1:6)
• Float Requirement: Yes — may float to other inpatient units

Job Requirements

• Active RN license (ability to obtain Michigan license prior to start preferred)
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or higher; BSN preferred for some travel nursing roles
• BLS (Basic Life Support) required
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of adult RN experience required; pediatric experience highly valued for pediatric RN roles
• Comfortable caring for patients >28 days of age across pediatric, neuro, and orthopedic populations
• Ability to float to other inpatient units as needed
• Team-oriented with strong communication and collaboration skills
• Galaxy Blue scrubs required

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality pediatric nursing care to patients in a 24-bed Neuro/Ortho/Pediatrics unit
• Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions and clinical progress
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and treatments as prescribed
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, therapists, case management) to develop and implement patient care plans
• Educate patients and families on care plans, procedures, discharge instructions, and safe home care
• Float to other inpatient units as required by staffing needs
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and patient safety standards
