Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active RN license in Virginia or a Compact State (required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Telemetry nursing experience or telemetry RN experience
• BLS certification required (AHA preferred)
• Proven ability to interpret telemetry/ECG strips and respond to changes in cardiac status
• Comfortable working night shift and adapting to a fast-paced acute care environment
• Strong communication, clinical assessment, and critical thinking skills

Telemetry RN Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients requiring cardiac telemetry and acute medical care
• Interpret telemetry data/ECG strips and respond promptly to changes in patient condition
• Administer medications and treatments per provider orders and hospital policy
• Provide comprehensive documentation of patient care in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, respiratory therapy, case management) to coordinate care and ensure positive patient outcomes
• Provide patient and family education, support, and discharge teaching as needed
