• Hours: 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Schedule Notes: Every other weekend and holidays as needed; must be willing to float to Med/Surg or Post-Partum

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of current pediatric nursing experience required (Pediatric RN experience)
• Active Massachusetts RN license (must be uploaded with profile)
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications from the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Recent (within 1 year) pediatric and medical-surgical skills checklists
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility (not open to local travelers)
• Own vehicle and permanent address required in profile
• Dependable attendance—call-outs are not permitted due to the small unit size

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Meditech Expanse strongly preferred (EMR experience)
• Experience in adult Med/Surg preferred for floating
• BSN preferred

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, family-centered pediatric care with a typical patient ratio of 1:3
• Support parent "rooming in" and create a welcoming, child-friendly environment
• Collaborate with Family Birthplace staff, respiratory therapists, and IV therapists for coordinated care
• Float to Med/Surg or Post-Partum units as needed and provide safe, competent care across units
• Maintain accurate documentation in the medical record and adhere to hospital policies and procedures
• Demonstrate professionalism, reliability, and strong communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
