Radiology Technologist – Night Shift (Travel Contract) — Des Moines, IA

• Setting: General Radiology – Hospital / Medical Center (Level I trauma)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: Nights, Monday – Thursday, 9:00 PM – 7:00 AM (40 hours/week)
• Holiday Rotation: Required
• Weekends/On Call: No weekends, no call
• Travel: May float across campuses (Iowa Lutheran, Methodist West, Iowa Methodist Medical Center)

Job Requirements — Radiology Technologist / X-ray Technologist

• Minimum 2 years of current X-ray / radiology technologist experience in a hospital or medical center
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification required
• Active Iowa radiology license highly preferred (candidates with attestation to apply at time of acceptance will be considered)
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification from AHA or ARC
• Proficiency with Siemens fixed radiography equipment and Carestream portable units
• Experience using GE OEC C-arms and Medtronic O-arm for surgery fluoroscopy
• Surgery fluoroscopy and operating room (OR) radiology experience — occasional OR cases expected
• Experience with trauma imaging (Level I trauma experience highly preferred)
• Comfort imaging patients of all age groups, including pediatric patients (pediatric experience preferred)
• EPIC EMR experience for documentation
• Valid driver’s license for inter-campus float assignments

Responsibilities — Radiology Tech Duties

• Perform general radiology exams including plain film imaging, portable x-ray exams, and OR/trauma imaging
• Operate and maintain Siemens, Carestream, GE OEC, and Medtronic O-arm imaging equipment
• Support surgery fluoroscopy, trauma cases, and routine radiology department needs
• Provide imaging services for patients of all ages with professionalism and patient-centered care
• Float between hospital campuses as needed to support radiology departments across facilities
• Accurately document imaging exams and patient encounters in EPIC EMR
• Participate in required holiday rotations and adhere to night shift protocols
