Trauma Registered Nurse (RN) – Travel assignment in Asheville, NC (28801). 13-week contract at a Level II Trauma Center; 12-hour day shifts. Join our trauma nursing team and advance your travel nursing career in beautiful Western North Carolina.

- Duration: 13 weeks
- Start Date: March 31, 2026
- End Date: June 30, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour days (06:45 – 19:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active RN license (compact license or NC RN license preferred)
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care experience; trauma or medical telemetry experience preferred
- Strong teamwork, communication, and critical thinking skills essential for trauma nursing
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-acuity environment (trauma nurse & telemetry nurse experience)
- CMSRN certification encouraged
- Leadership/charge nurse experience and BSN are a plus
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to trauma and medical telemetry patients as a Trauma RN
- Monitor, assess, and document patient conditions in Cerner EMR in accordance with hospital standards
- Prepare and educate patients for procedures including Endoscopy, IR, and OR as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and ancillary staff—to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Float to sister units (Med-Surg: 3W, 5W, K8) as required to support staffing needs
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies and contribute to the mission of care and improvement of human life
- Participate in scheduled weekends (6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule) and support continuity of care
