Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890 (Travel RN pay)
- Location: Asheville, NC 28801 — travel nursing job in North Carolina (Blue Ridge Mountains)
- Setting: Level II Trauma Center (Trauma RN, Telemetry)
- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (2/23/2026 – 5/25/2026)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12-Hour Days (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract – travel nurse, travel RN opportunity
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active RN license (North Carolina or compact state) — Registered Nurse (RN) required
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year recent acute care RN experience; trauma or telemetry experience preferred
- Strong medical telemetry and acute care nursing skills
- Experience with Cerner EMR preferred (documentation accuracy required)
- Excellent communication, clinical judgment, and teamwork abilities
- CMSRN certification encouraged (Cardiac Medical-Surgical Nurse) — plus relevant trauma/telemetry credentials a plus
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to trauma and telemetry patients as a Trauma RN
- Monitor and assess patient conditions; rapidly respond to changes in acuity
- Coordinate care with multidisciplinary teams (physicians, surgeons, PT/OT, respiratory therapy)
- Prepare and transfer patients for procedures including Endoscopy, Interventional Radiology (IR), and OR
- Document care and interventions accurately in Cerner EMR
- Float to sister Med-Surg units as needed (3W, 5W, K8) — flexible team player required
- Adhere to hospital policies and the mission to improve human life at a top-rated regional trauma center
