- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,800 – $1,890
- Location: Mission Hospital, Asheville, NC 28801 — Asheville healthcare / North Carolina nursing job
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Shift: 12 Hour Days (06:45 – 19:15)
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state requirements apply)
- BLS certification (required)
- Minimum 1 year of recent trauma or medical telemetry nursing experience
- CMSRN certification encouraged
- Leadership or Charge Nurse experience preferred
- BSN preferred
- Ability to float to Med-Surg units as needed (3W, 5W, K8)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate, high-quality trauma care to patients in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Monitor patients using medical remote telemetry and Cerner Patient Observation systems
- Prepare and transport patients for procedures including Endoscopy, IR, and OR
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including RNs, CNAs, HUCs, and sitters to coordinate patient care
- Maintain accurate documentation using Cerner EMR and workstation-on-wheels (WOW)
- Adhere to unit policies, professional standards, and dress code (Navy Blue or White scrubs)
- Participate in scheduled weekend coverage (6 per 6-week schedule)
- Support a positive, team-oriented environment focused on patient outcomes and continuous improvement
