• Job Title: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) / Perioperative RN
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 - $2,100
• Location: Asheville, NC (28801)
• Facility: A leading hospital in Asheville, NC
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM (10-hour days)
• Hours per Week: 40

Qualifications / Job Requirements

• Active RN license (North Carolina RN or Nursing Licensure Compact / compact state)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience; perioperative / surgical nursing experience required
• Skill level of 3 or higher in joint, neuro, ortho, and vascular procedures (required)
• Broad surgical knowledge across service lines including general, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn, and trauma
• Ability to work variable schedules and participate in call rotation

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in the Operating Room with a focus on patient safety and optimal surgical outcomes (perioperative nursing duties)
• Assist with a wide variety of surgical procedures including joint, neuro, ortho, and vascular cases as a scrub and/or circulating nurse
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams—surgeons, anesthesiologists, perioperative staff—to deliver high-quality surgical care
• Document accurately and timely using the Cerner electronic health record (EHR) system
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, AORN best practices, and sterile technique standards
• Float to other departments as needed to support hospital operations and patient care
