• Assignment Length: 13 weeks
• Start Date: September 8, 2025
• End Date: December 8, 2025
• Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (12-hour day shifts)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,220 – $2,340 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Healthcare Setting: Cardiac catheterization lab / interventional cardiology
• Employment Type: Travel RN, On-site

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active RN license in North Carolina or compact state required
• Minimum 1 year of recent Cath Lab RN experience (diagnostic and/or interventional cardiac catheterization)
• BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association)
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, IV/vascular access, and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented cardiac cath lab environment

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac catheterization and interventional procedures (PCI, diagnostic cath)
• Prepare the cath lab, set up sterile fields, and ensure necessary equipment and supplies are available
• Monitor patient status, interpret hemodynamic data, and respond to emergencies following ACLS protocols
• Assist physicians and the interventional cardiology team during diagnostic and interventional procedures
• Administer medications, manage IVs/vascular access, and administer contrast agents per protocol
• Educate patients and families on procedures, post-procedure care, and discharge instructions
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and quality standards
