ICU RN Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (compact or state-specific as required)
• Minimum 1 year of recent ICU / critical care experience (preferred: medical or surgical ICU)
• BLS certification (required)
• ACLS certification (preferred)
• Strong critical thinking, clinical assessment, and communication skills
• Ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced ICU environment and work effectively with interdisciplinary teams

Key Responsibilities — ICU Registered Nurse (Travel)

• Provide high-quality critical care and patient-centered nursing in the Intensive Care Unit
• Monitor and assess critically ill patients, interpret vital signs, and recognize changes in condition
• Administer medications, manage IVs, titrate drips, and perform complex clinical interventions per protocol
• Respond to emergencies and provide advanced life support as needed (ACLS skills)
• Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Document patient status, interventions, and progress in accurate medical records
• Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment plans, and recovery expectations
