  • Setting: Labor & Delivery Unit, 16-bed unit (4th Floor, G Tower)

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years recent Labor & Delivery RN experience (intrapartum/perinatal experience)
  • Experience with high-risk obstetrics and immediate newborn care
  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state of NC or compact RN)
  • NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program), BLS/ALS, and Advanced Fetal Monitoring certification
  • Circulating experience preferred; ability to assist in vaginal deliveries and C-sections
  • Proficient with Cerner EMR and fetal monitoring systems (e.g., Phillips fetal monitor, Fetal ink)
  • Adaptable, outgoing, team-oriented OB nurse or perinatal RN

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive laboring patient care, including management of high-risk OB cases and intrapartum monitoring
  • Assist with immediate newborn care, stabilization, and NRP interventions
  • Perform and assist with procedures: vaginal deliveries, cesarean sections (C-section), D&C, cerclage, and C-hyst
  • Operate and troubleshoot Baxter infusion pumps and Phillips electronic fetal monitoring equipment
  • Accurately document patient care in Cerner EMR and fetal documentation systems
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary team: charge nurses, PCTs, CSTs, maternal-fetal medicine (MFM) specialists, and NICU staff
  • Float as needed to MFMU, MOMB, and NICU areas to support continuity of care
