Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1800 - $1890 (competitive travel nursing pay)
• Location: Roaring Spring, PA 16673 (Blair County) — Pennsylvania nursing jobs
• Position: Travel Med/Surg RN / Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Nurse
• Facility: Medical/Surgical/Tele Unit (31-bed unit)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 1, 2026 – July 1, 2026)
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) — night shift RN
• Hours per Week: 36 (3 shifts/week)
• Patient Ratio: Average 1:5
• Electronic Health Record: Epic

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• At least 1 year recent Med/Surg RN experience required (2 years preferred) — experience with adult & geriatric populations preferred
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Pennsylvania
• BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Basic EKG interpretation skills; telemetry experience a plus
• Completion of required clearances prior to start: Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, Department of Human Services Fingerprinting, FBI fingerprinting, and PATCH PA State Police Clearance
• Ability to work night shifts and scheduled weekends
• Travel nursing eligibility: candidate must reside at least 60 miles from facility

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care as a medical-surgical/telemetry RN for adult and geriatric patients on a 31-bed Med/Surg/Tele unit
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care
• Monitor and interpret EKGs, telemetry strips, and vital signs
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed; medication reconciliation and IV management
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members including physicians, therapists, and case managers
• Document patient assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately in Epic EHR
• Care for patients with common medical-surgical diagnoses such as pneumonia, chest pain, CHF, COPD, and post-op orthopedic and general surgery patients
