Travel OR RN – Lawton, OK (73505). Seeking an experienced Operating Room Registered Nurse with a current Oklahoma RN license and at least 1 year of perioperative/surgical experience for a 13-week travel nursing assignment. Monday–Friday, no on-call; 8-hour day shifts.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,000 - $2,100 (competitive travel nurse pay)
- Location: Lawton, Oklahoma (73505) — Lawton, OK travel nursing
- Assignment Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/7/2026 – End: 8/6/2026)
- Shift: 8-Hour Days, 6:30am – 3:00pm, Monday–Friday
- Hours per Week: 36
- On-Call: None
- Number of Positions: 2
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Graduate of a Registered Nurse program
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license — required for Lawton, OK
- At least 1 year of Operating Room (OR) / perioperative or surgical nursing experience
- BSN preferred
- Strong communication skills and attention to detail
- Thorough knowledge of sterile technique and perioperative standards
- Commitment to teamwork and reliable task completion
Responsibilities (Operating Room / Perioperative Nurse)
- Deliver safe, effective, patient- and family-centered care in the operating room and perioperative services
- Act as a patient advocate and meet surgical nursing standards of practice
- Set priorities, organize workload, and adapt to changes in surgical assignments
- Develop and implement total nursing care plans for surgical patients
- Collaborate with the perioperative team (RNs, LPNs, surgical techs, physicians, and ancillary disciplines)
- Perform head-to-toe assessments and reassessments for all patient populations, including pediatric and geriatric
- Assess and manage pain using appropriate perioperative techniques
- Maintain professional nursing standards in the clinical setting and support sterile processing, instrument handling, and surgical counts as needed
