- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 11, 2026 – August 10, 2026)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract / Travel Nurse – Operating Room (OR)
- Setting: Operating Room / Perioperative Services (perioperative nursing, surgical services)
- Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30 PM – 11:00 PM (No call required)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 12-hour days
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020 – $2,130
Job Requirements (Operating Room RN / Perioperative Nurse)
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nurse program
- Current Oklahoma Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Minimum 2 years of recent Operating Room RN experience (strictly enforced) — perioperative nursing and surgical nurse experience preferred
- BSN preferred
- Thorough knowledge of sterile technique, perioperative nursing standards, and operating room protocols
- Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced surgical environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary surgical team
Responsibilities (OR RN / Perioperative Responsibilities)
- Deliver safe, effective, and quality patient- and family-centered care in the operating room and perioperative areas
- Serve as a patient advocate and uphold professional nursing standards during surgical procedures
- Perform thorough assessments and frequent reassessments for all patient populations, including pediatric and geriatric patients
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans consistent with perioperative nursing best practices
- Assist with surgical procedures, maintain sterile fields, and support both circulating and scrub roles as needed
- Prioritize and organize workload, adapt to changes in assignments, and maintain competency in perioperative skills
- Participate in departmental orientation and age-specific training
- Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, NAs, physicians, and ancillary staff to ensure optimal surgical patient outcomes
