ICU Registered Nurse (Travel RN) needed in Plymouth, MA – 8-week travel contract for experienced ICU RNs with a Massachusetts RN license and ACLS/BLS.
Join the Critical Care Center in beautiful Plymouth, Massachusetts (02360), a vibrant coastal community on the South Shore. This travel nursing job places you in a 14-bed intensive care unit with 24-hour intensivist coverage, caring for adult and geriatric patients with medical and surgical critical care needs.
Job Details
- Position: ICU Registered Nurse / Travel RN (Critical Care RN)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,470 - $2,600
- Location: Plymouth, MA (02360) — South Shore, Massachusetts
- Healthcare Setting: Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 14-bed critical care unit
- Contract Duration: 8 weeks
- Start Date: May 4, 2026
- Shift: 12-hour nights; rotating weekends and holidays
- Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed 72 hours biweekly)
- Employment Type: Travel Contract — On-site position
Job Requirements (ICU RN / Travel Nurse)
- Current Massachusetts RN license (required at time of submission)
- Current AHA BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 2 years of ICU / critical care nursing experience
- Competency in core critical care skills: ventilator management, vasoactive and sedation titration, hemodynamic monitoring, cardiac dysrhythmia recognition and management, post-STEMI care
- Evidence of relevant continuing education; CCRN certification preferred
- Must pass TELE/ECG and medication competency tests prior to acceptance
- No local travelers: must not reside within 50 miles of the facility
- Must be separated from BILH for 6+ months and in good standing to be considered
ICU Registered Nurse Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality critical care nursing to adult and geriatric patients in the ICU
- Manage mechanical ventilation and titrate vasoactive and sedative medications safely
- Monitor and interpret hemodynamic parameters and cardiac rhythms; provide post-STEMI care
- Manage complex medical and surgical critical care cases with sound clinical judgment
- Collaborate with intensivists, physicians, and multidisciplinary care teams to optimize patient outcomes
- Participate in scheduled rotating weekends and holidays
- Maintain accurate documentation and adhere to best practices and hospital policies
