• Shift: 12-hour days (Fri–Sun: 7:00am – 7:30pm)
• Hours per Week: 36

Job Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of inpatient surgery / perioperative nursing experience
• Level 1 trauma experience required (trauma nurse experience)
• Active RN license (Massachusetts RN or multistate compact license preferred)
• BLS certification (AHA BLS)
• Competency in at least 5 of these services: Thoracic Surgery, Surgical Pathology, Sub-Acute, Pediatric PACU, Pediatric OR
• Positive attitude, flexibility, and ability to adapt to fast-paced surgical environments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills for multidisciplinary surgical teams

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality perioperative nursing care in the operating room for a wide range of surgical procedures
• Assist and respond to Level 1 trauma cases, ensuring patient safety throughout the perioperative process
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, surgical techs, and perioperative staff to achieve excellent patient outcomes
• Maintain accurate documentation, adhere to hospital protocols, and support quality and safety initiatives
• Demonstrate proficiency in at least five specialized surgical services as listed in the requirements
• Perform pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative nursing duties, including sterile technique and emergency response
