Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas
• BLS (AHA) required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 1 year of recent clinical experience in Telemetry or Med-Surg (Telemetry RN / Med-Surg RN)
• Experience with Alaris and Kangaroo infusion pumps preferred
• Familiarity with Meditech EMR is a plus
• Strong assessment and telemetry monitoring skills, including cardiac rhythm interpretation
• Professional, easy-going, friendly, and flexible team player

Responsibilities

• Provide continuous cardiac monitoring and assessment for patients on the Telemetry/Med-Surg unit
• Administer medications, manage IVs, and operate Alaris and Kangaroo pumps
• Document patient care accurately and timely in Meditech EMR
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including charge nurses, PCTs, and unit coordinators
• Maintain patient ratios of approximately 6:1 and prioritize patient safety
• Float between Med-Surg and Telemetry as needed
• Participate in required weekend rotations
