Job Details

• Location: Barrington, IL 60010 — Chicago-area radiology jobs; great Illinois healthcare opportunity in a family-friendly community with easy access to Chicago.
• Contract Length: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 1, 2026)
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts (40 hours/week)
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,830 – $3,040 (competitive travel radiology pay)
• Setting: Hospital — Cardiology/Interventional Platform (Cath Lab & IR)

Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Rad Tech in Cath Lab or Interventional Radiology (IR) required
• ARRT(R) / ARRT-R certification required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Experience with EPIC and MERGE charting systems preferred
• Ability to float between Cath Lab and IR based on skillset
• First-time travel Rad Techs considered upon review

Key Responsibilities

• Scrub and record for a variety of invasive and non-invasive cardiology and IR procedures (TAVR, AAA repairs, ablations, biopsies, peripheral interventions)
• Operate fluoroscopy and imaging equipment while maintaining radiation safety and sterile technique
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team (nurses, physicians, techs) in a Cath Lab/IR procedural environment
• Ensure accurate documentation using EPIC and MERGE charting systems
• Participate in weekend and holiday call rotation (typically 1 week every 3–4 weeks)
• Complete 1–3 days of orientation to learn unit flow, protocols, and case mix
• Maintain high standards of patient safety, clinical competence, and professional communication in a fast-paced hospital setting
