Job Details

• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (May 18, 2026 – August 16, 2026)
• Location: Des Moines, Iowa (50314) – travel nursing job serving multiple campuses including West Lakes Campus (9.5 miles from downtown)
• Role: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Resource Pool / Float to Ortho, Med-Surg, Neurology Step Down, Oncology, Surgical Telemetry, Med-Surg Tele, and more
• Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM), every other weekend required
• Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,930 – $2,030

Job Requirements

• Active RN license in the U.S. (Medical/Surgical/Telemetry specialty preferred)
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg Telemetry experience required — medical-surgical nurse, telemetry nurse experience preferred
• Willingness to float to multiple units and campuses as needed (flexible travel nurse)
• Current BLS certification required
• Ability to complete all onboarding health and competency requirements, including immunizations, drug screen, and background check

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients across Med/Surg and Telemetry units as a registered nurse
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and respond promptly to changes in patient condition (telemetry nurse skills)
• Float between units and campuses as assigned, adapting quickly to new clinical environments
• Document patient care activities accurately and timely using electronic charting and facility systems
• Provide compassionate support and education to patients and their families; strong communication and patient education skills
