- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,750 - $2,890
- Location: Rockford, IL (61114) — Rockford, Illinois travel nursing opportunity
- Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center – Interventional Radiology Unit (IR unit)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 14, 2026 – July 14, 2026)
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts with on-call rotation (weeknights, weekends, holidays)
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Contract / Registered Nurse (RN)
Qualifications & Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program (education verification required)
- Active Illinois RN license required
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications
- Must successfully pass EKG test prior to completion of orientation
- Minimum 3 years RN experience with at least 1 year of critical care experience
- Cardiovascular intervention or interventional radiology experience required
Key Responsibilities
- Provide safe, high-quality patient care using the nursing process: assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Support interventional radiology procedures and cardiovascular interventions (angiography, catheter-based procedures) as part of the IR nursing team
- Administer medications and treatments per approved nursing techniques and institutional policies
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in the electronic health record and adhere to established standards
- Develop and execute individualized patient care plans and provide patient/family education for pre- and post-procedure care
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, radiology technologists, anesthesia, ICU) to manage complex patients
- Participate in department performance improvement, peer review, and professional development activities
- Facilitate patient flow, perform telephone triage as needed, and support unit cross-coverage when required
