Job Details

• Position: Travel Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) – Vascular Surgery / Endovascular Nurse / Perioperative Nurse
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,750 - $2,890
• Location: Peoria, IL 61637 — Peoria, Illinois travel nursing jobs / Illinois nursing jobs
• Setting: Acute Care, Level 1 Trauma Center
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Start: 5/11/2026 – End: 8/10/2026)
• Shift: 10-hour day shifts, 4 shifts per week with call rotation
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Call Requirements: Every 3rd weekend (Sat 7am – Mon 7am), holiday call rotation, 30-minute response time
• Charting System: EPIC (electronic health record experience preferred)
• Scrubs: Hospital provided

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years recent Operating Room RN experience with vascular and endovascular procedures required
• Active Illinois RN license (or proof application initiated) — OR compact license where applicable
• BLS Certification (AHA required); ACLS or specialty certifications a plus
• Proven scrubbing experience and ability to scrub for vascular surgery, amputations, and IR cases
• Ability to float to other surgical specialties and Interventional Radiology (IR) teams as needed
• Must pass a negative drug screen for all panels (Drug-Free Campus)

Primary Responsibilities

• Assist with endovascular and open vascular surgical procedures, including amputations and Interventional Radiology-assisted cases
• Scrub in and circulate as needed in the Operating Room (perioperative nursing duties)
• Collaborate closely with surgeons, surgical techs, charge nurses, and OR techs to ensure efficient workflow
• Maintain accurate, timely documentation in EPIC and adhere to perioperative protocols
• Participate in call rotations and respond within 30 minutes when on-call
• Support other surgical teams and the IR team as required to meet patient care needs
• Adhere to hospital dress code and complete unit-specific orientation and competency validation
