- Location: Issaquah, WA (98029) — Seattle Eastside / King County; travel nursing opportunity within the Seattle metro area (may float to Redmond or Cherry Hill campuses)
- Contract Length: 26 weeks
- Start Date: May 18, 2026
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,280 - $2,400
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8-hour day shifts (08:00 - 17:00) — no nights, weekends, or holidays required
- Setting: On-site; majority of time at Issaquah with occasional float to Redmond and Cherry Hill campuses
- Role Type: Travel Registered Nurse / ICU RN with focus on stroke program coordination, quality assurance, and data management
Qualifications / Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the U.S.; compact RN licenses honored at all Swedish facilities
- Minimum 1 year of RN experience with direct stroke care at a certified Stroke Center (experience responding to code strokes required)
- Previous travel nursing experience required — not open to first-time travelers
- Proficiency with Epic charting and clinical data abstraction; experience pulling times and metrics from Epic for program tracking
- BLS and NIHSS certifications required
- Completion of 8 hours of stroke education within the last year (NIHSS counts as 3 hours; department provides additional education if needed)
- Familiarity with AHA Get With The Guidelines, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint
- HealthStream or equivalent training preferred: Code BART for Inpatient Nurses, Treatment Pathway for Inpatient Nurses, Yale Swallow Protocol, Individualizing Stroke Care Plans and Education, SNAP Stroke Neuro Assessment
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the stroke program to ensure adherence to stroke protocols, performance metrics, and best practices
- Conduct comprehensive chart audits and clinical data abstraction for stroke cases, including time metrics and compliance documentation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (ED, neurology, radiology, nursing leadership) to maintain high standards of stroke care and workflow
- Assist with AHA Get With The Guidelines initiatives, reporting, and quality improvement projects
- Provide program-focused support — predominantly quality assurance, data management, and process coordination (no hands-on patient care required)
- Float to Redmond and Cherry Hill campuses as needed; primary worksite is Issaquah
