Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,870 - $1,970
- Location: York, ME (03909) & Portsmouth, NH
- Position Type: Travel Nurse – Cardiac Stepdown RN / Cardiology Nurse
- Setting: Cardiology office and main hospital campus (cardiac step-down/clinic support)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (5/4/2026 – 8/3/2026)
- Schedule: Monday – Friday, 5 days per week
- Shift: 8-hour day shifts (40 guaranteed hours/week)
- Travel Requirement: Travel between York, ME and Portsmouth, NH offices as needed
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license — compact license accepted
- Valid BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum 1 year recent Cardiac Stepdown or cardiology nursing experience (telemetry/step-down experience preferred)
- Strong communication, triage, and organizational skills
- Comfortable coordinating care across outpatient clinic and inpatient settings; ability to travel between locations
Primary Responsibilities
- Room and prepare patients for cardiology appointments and procedures
- Refill prescriptions, coordinate medication management, and complete prior authorizations
- Triage patient calls, provide clinical guidance, and escalate concerns to cardiology providers
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary cardiology teams to ensure continuity of care and high-quality patient outcomes
- Perform patient education on cardiac conditions, medication adherence, and follow-up care instructions
