• Position Type: Travel Nurse / Travel Contract (Pediatric RN)
• Setting: Inpatient Pediatric Acute Rehabilitation (12 beds) – pediatric rehabilitation nurse role
• Location: Charlestown, Boston, MA 02129 (Boston nursing jobs / Massachusetts nursing jobs)
• Start Date: June 1, 2026
• End Date: August 30, 2026
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
• Shift: Predominantly evening shifts (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM), with occasional rotation to day shifts (7:00 AM – 3:30 PM)
• Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
• Schedule: Every other weekend required
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,120 – $2,230

Job Requirements

• Active, unencumbered RN license (Massachusetts license or compact license preferred)
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of inpatient pediatric hospital experience; pediatric acute rehabilitation experience preferred
• Strong pediatric clinical assessment, medication administration, and communication skills
• Ability to work evening shifts and rotate to day shifts as needed
• Willingness to work every other weekend
• Comfort working as a pediatric rehabilitation nurse in a fast-paced, interdisciplinary setting

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, compassionate nursing care to pediatric patients in an acute rehabilitation setting
• Monitor patient progress, conduct pediatric assessments, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (therapy, physicians, social work) to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Administer medications, treatments, and rehabilitative therapies as prescribed
• Educate patients and families on care plans, rehabilitation goals, discharge planning, and home safety
• Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner according to hospital policies and electronic health record (EHR) standards
• Participate in unit meetings, quality improvement initiatives, patient safety activities, and ongoing professional development
