PCU Registered Nurse (BMT) – 16-week Travel RN contract in Columbus, OH (zip 43210). Seeking an experienced Oncology RN/Progressive Care Unit RN with hematology-oncology experience and chemo certification (ONCC) to join a renowned Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) team.

Job Details – Travel Nursing Job (Oncology RN)
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,160 - $2,270 (Competitive travel nurse pay)
- Position Type: Travel RN – PCU / Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT RN), Oncology RN, Hematology Oncology Nurse
- Location: Columbus, Ohio (zip 43210) – Columbus, OH travel nursing job; Ohio nursing jobs
- Contract Duration: 16 weeks (Start: 5/18/2026 – End: 9/7/2026)
- Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
- Shift: Primary shift is 12-hour night shifts (19:00 – 07:30); 12-hour day/night rotating shifts may be available as an alternative assignment
- Hours per Week: 36
- Unit: 14 East, West and 15 West – Bone Marrow Transplant / Oncology / Mixed Acuity PCU & MS unit
Job Requirements – PCU / BMT RN (Oncology)
- Minimum 1 year of recent inpatient hematology-oncology experience (within the last 3 years)
- Experience with leukemia, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, and blood dyscrasias required
- Chemo certification required (Oncology Nursing Society / ONCC)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
- EPIC electronic charting experience required
- Graduation from an ACEN- or CCNE-accredited nursing program
- Valid Ohio RN license or compact RN license in hand at time of submission
- Two professional references (one from manager/director or formal leadership; second may be a Charge RN)
Responsibilities – Progressive Care Unit RN / Bone Marrow Transplant
- Provide comprehensive care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing autologous, syngeneic, and allogeneic stem cell transplants
- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapies, and blood products safely per oncology/hematology protocols
- Monitor telemetry and interpret dysrhythmias common in progressive care and oncology patients
- Manage central and peripheral lines, implanted ports, and PICC lines with aseptic technique
- Implement infection prevention, neutropenic precautions, and fall prevention strategies
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams including Physical Therapy, Respiratory Therapy, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, and Rapid Response Teams
- Float to other MedSurg Oncology units as needed to support staffing
- Utilize EPIC for computerized charting and documentation, following institutional policies
