- Shift: 12-hour nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM)
- Hours per Week: 36 guaranteed
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,180 – $2,290
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse, On-Site Emergency Department RN role
Required Qualifications
- Active RN license (state requirements apply; CT license or compact license accepted if applicable)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) / Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience
- Current BLS and ACLS certifications (additional certifications may be required based on facility)
- Ability to manage ED and inpatient hold RN ratios/acuity in a high-volume emergency care setting
- Up-to-date immunizations and health screenings (COVID-19, MMR, Hepatitis B, Influenza, Varicella, Tdap, TB/PPD or IGRA)
- Successful completion of facility onboarding and competency checklists
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate emergency care to patients in the ED, including triage, assessment, and stabilization
- Monitor and manage acute and critical conditions; perform timely interventions and reassessments
- Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary teams to implement patient care plans
- Accurately document patient assessments, treatments, and outcomes in the electronic health record
- Maintain compliance with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and safety standards in emergency nursing
- Adapt to changing ED needs, including managing inpatient hold assignments and high-acuity caseloads
