Required Qualifications (ER RN / Emergency Department Nurse)
- Active, unencumbered RN license (compact or state license as required)
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Department (ED) experience
- BLS certification required
- Additional certifications preferred: ACLS, PALS (or equivalent)
- Comfortable managing inpatient hold RN ratios/acuity and accepting ED patients as needed
- Completion of required onboarding health screenings and competency checklists
Key Responsibilities – Emergency Room Registered Nurse (ER RN)
- Deliver high-quality, compassionate nursing care to patients in the Emergency Department/ED
- Rapidly assess, triage, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary healthcare team
- Monitor and document patient vital signs, clinical changes, and interventions in the medical record
- Respond quickly to emergencies, resuscitations, and changes in patient condition
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure compliance with hospital policies and ED protocols
- Coordinate patient transfers, admissions, and handoffs with inpatient teams to support optimal patient flow
