- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,040 - $2,150
- Location: Hartford, CT 06105 — Hartford, Connecticut travel nursing job
- Setting: Emergency Department (ED) / Inpatient hold RN ratios and acuity
- Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 5/10/2026, End: 8/8/2026)
- Shift: 12-hour Nights (7:00 PM – 7:30 AM) — night shift ER nurse
- Hours per Week: 36 hours
- Employment Type: Travel Nurse / Travel RN
- Weekend Rotation: Every Other Weekend
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Connecticut
- At least 1 year of recent Emergency Room (ER) nursing experience — emergency department nurse preferred
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required
- Medical/Surgical and Telemetry experience preferred
- Ability to manage ED patients and inpatient holds; strong triage and acuity assessment skills
- Must complete onboarding health and professional requirements (fit test, drug screen, immunizations, background check, competency testing)
Key Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality, compassionate care to patients presenting to the Emergency Department
- Assess, triage, and manage acute and critical patients efficiently as an ER RN
- Monitor patient acuity and maintain appropriate RN-to-patient ratios for safety and quality
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (physicians, techs, case management) to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and in a timely manner in the electronic health record
- Participate in scheduled weekend rotations and support a flexible travel nurse schedule
