Job Requirements

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg / Telemetry experience (experience administering Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin)
• Progressive Care (Step-Down) and ICU experience preferred (experience with Levophed, Nicardipine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Neosynephrine, Dobutamine)
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required (TNCC required if ICU candidate)
• Ability and willingness to float based on clinical skillset and unit needs (Float Pool RN / Internal Float Pool experience a plus)
• Nicotine-free facility
• New graduates are not accepted for this position

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, Progressive Care/Step-Down, and ICU units as part of the Internal Float Pool
• Administer medications and manage complex infusions, including critical drips and cardiac medications
• Monitor patient conditions, interpret telemetry, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
• Accurately document patient care in Altera Sunrise EMR (training provided)
• Float to various units as assigned and adapt to diverse clinical environments
• Work every other weekend and some holidays as required by staffing needs
• Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain compliance with facility protocols and best practices for travel nurses
• Orientation includes a 2-day session at TUKHS, followed by Liberty-specific and clinical orientation, and computer training before starting on the unit.
