Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Med/Surg Registered Nurse in the Internal Float Pool in Liberty, Missouri. This 13-week travel assignment gives Med/Surg RNs and Telemetry RNs the chance to work across multiple units (Med/Surg, Telemetry, Progressive Care/Step-Down, ICU as needed), build clinical skills, and make a measurable impact on patient care. - Shift: 12-hour nights (18:45 – 07:15)
- Hours per Week: 36
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,990 – $2,090

- Setting: Internal Float Pool — Med/Surg, Telemetry, Progressive Care (Step-Down), ICU as needed
Job Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Minimum 1 year of recent Med/Surg / Telemetry experience (experience administering Amiodarone, Cardizem, Heparin, Nitroglycerin)
- Progressive Care (Step-Down) and ICU experience preferred (experience with Levophed, Nicardipine, Dopamine, Milrinone, Neosynephrine, Dobutamine)
- Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS required (TNCC required if ICU candidate)
- Ability and willingness to float based on clinical skillset and unit needs (Float Pool RN / Internal Float Pool experience a plus)
- Nicotine-free facility
- New graduates are not accepted for this position
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality nursing care across Med/Surg, Telemetry, Progressive Care/Step-Down, and ICU units as part of the Internal Float Pool
- Administer medications and manage complex infusions, including critical drips and cardiac medications
- Monitor patient conditions, interpret telemetry, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Accurately document patient care in Altera Sunrise EMR (training provided)
- Float to various units as assigned and adapt to diverse clinical environments
- Work every other weekend and some holidays as required by staffing needs
- Participate in orientation and ongoing training to maintain compliance with facility protocols and best practices for travel nurses
- Orientation includes a 2-day session at TUKHS, followed by Liberty-specific and clinical orientation, and computer training before starting on the unit.
