• Shift: 8-hour Night Shifts (RN night shift)
• Hours per Week: 40
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,620 – $2,760 (competitive travel nurse pay)
• Weekend Rotation: Every 4th weekend (Saturday-Sunday)
• Holiday Coverage: Required
• On-Call: Dependent on shift/service line (30-minute response time required; sleeping room available)

Qualifications (Job Requirements)

• Current and active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Illinois
• Minimum 2–3 years of acute care experience required; critical care/trauma experience at a Level I or II facility preferred
• BLS certification required; ACLS/PALS a plus
• Proficiency with EPIC EMR required (electronic medical record experience)
• Experience with OR scrub and circulate is a plus
• Strong clinical leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Ability to work night shift, weekends, holidays, and respond on-call as required

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and clinical administrative support within the Nursing Administration unit
• Coordinate and oversee patient care activities to maintain high standards of safety and quality across departments
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including surgeons, anesthesiologists, resource nurses, and leadership (clinical leadership role)
• Use EPIC EMR for accurate documentation, patient management, and care coordination
• Participate in trauma, transplant, and diverse surgical cases across pediatric and adult populations
• Support department operations, including orientation, training, and mentoring of new staff and travelers
• Ensure compliance with hospital policies, regulatory requirements, and Magnet-quality standards
• Participate in scheduled weekend and holiday rotations and fulfill on-call responsibilities as assigned
